LeBron James scored 38,000 points, a little closer to previous record

LeBron James achieved another milestone Sunday when the Los Angeles Lakers took on the Philadelphia 76ers.

With 47 remaining in the first quarter and the Lakers 18-17, James received a pass from Russell Westbrook just outside the 3-point line and deflated a jump shot. The two-pointer put him in his 38,000-point club with only Lakers legend Kareem his Abdul his Jabbar in front of him.
James finished the quarter with 16 points, four assists and three rebounds. He is just a few hundred points behind Abdul-Jabbar’s record of 38,387 points. The Lakers superstar spoke out about potentially breaking Abdul-Jabbar’s record in October. explained what it means.
